Pepsi owed 50 years of ads to women’s football.
Since the first one in 1975 with Pelé - for many the greatest football player ever- legends like Beckham, Ronaldinho, and Henry — have been part of iconic commercials that are now part of pop culture. But they had never featured women’s football players.
It was time to refresh 50 years of Pepsi ads. It was time to refresh the game. And we did.
Using real footage from old ads featuring Pelé, Ronaldinho, and Beckham, and integrating Alexia Putellas, Lauren James, Caroline Graham Hansen, Leah Williamson, and Farah Jefry — to create Pepsi’s first-ever global campaign for women’s football.
We didn’t stop at Pepsi ads. We also refreshed cans, outfits, trick shots, and much more to make it clear that they’re here to refresh the game.

REFRESHING TRICK SHOTS
Trick shots have always been part of Pepsi's football heritage. Stars like Beckham, Messi, and Salah made them go viral on social media, but never any women.
